Stories Behind The Fog also aims to raise awareness, fundraise and amplify the message of the homeless outreach organizations that collaborate with us by refereeing stories to our team.

These are the amazing homeless outreach organizations that have teamed up with us so far:

North Beach Citizens is a community based non-profit organization that utilizes the strength of the neighborhood to effectively address the needs of homeless and low-income citizens through an innovative collaboration of residents, merchants, police and service providers.

Based at St. Boniface church, in The Tenderloin District of San Francisco, The Gubbio Project provides a sacred space and sanctuary for unhoused people in need for safe, compassionate respites during the day.

They use direct outreach and innovative programs to make the necessary connections that are going to help people who sometimes can’t be helped in any other way.

Life Learning Academy (LLA) is a San Francisco Unified Charter high school founded by the Delancey Street Foundation in 1998 dedicated to creating a nonviolent community for disadvantaged youth who have not been successful in traditional school settings. LLA’s most recent undertaking is a bold initiative called LLABUILD dedicated to disrupting the cycle of poverty through stable housing, award-winning academics, and workforce development for underserved teens who are committed to constructing successful lives.

We are restoring hope, dignity and rebuilding the lives of homeless people by providing them with the tools they need to find a stable job and home.

Hamilton Families

Hamilton Families is working to end family homelessness in the San Francisco Bay Area by helping families regain their housing quickly to restore the foundation for healthy lives. Hamilton Families is San Francisco’s leading service provider to homeless families, with an array of highly effective programs that support 92% of the families they work with into permanent housing.

Episcopal Community Services of San Francisco

Episcopal Community Services of San Francisco utilizes a holistic approach that addresses the multiple causes leading to homelessness. We serve more than 6,800 people a year, guided by our mission to help homeless and very low-income people every day and every night obtain the housing, jobs, shelter, and essential services each person needs to prevent and end homelessness.

The Healing WELL

The Healing WELL offers a community and programs dedicated to healing, wellness and recovery. Inspired by the ideals of compassion and justice, it holds regular sessions like Meditation, Yoga, 12-Step support groups, and Poetry. Through mindfulness, creative expression, and relationship, participants support one another as they step into brighter futures.

TAKING IT TO THE STREETS | SF

Taking It To The Streets San Francisco empowers homeless youth to lead better lives by providing a continuum of workforce readiness, job skills training, personal mentoring, safe housing, and other services to support self-sufficiency for youth and young adults age 18–35.
